Shadow Ministers help out in Southall
Ealing Southall
Tony Lit, Conservative candidate in the Ealing Southall by-election, kicked off a busy day's campaigning today going from door-to-door in Hanwell this morning.
Then it was on down the Uxbridge Road at lunchtime to meet Shadow Health Secretary, Andrew Lansley, at Ealing Hospital.
There they talked to patients and staff, including the world famous cardiac specialist Professor Khuna, and toured the cardiac catheter laboratory which opened in 2006.
Tony spent the afternoon with Shadow Minister for Community Cohesion, Sayeeda Warsi. First off they met with members of the Somalian Community on a walkabout through Old Southall. They went straight on from there to the Shree Ram Mandhir Hindu Temple.
Meanwhile, Shadow Chancellor, George Osborne, was in Southall meeting leaders at the Havelock Road Gurdwara where he served food at the langer.
Afterwards Tony said: "The whole Conservative party is showing its commitment to winning this by-election and having three shadow ministers helping today just underlines that".
